It’s pretty official, Summer is here.

The Fontfaces over at House Industries have long been scheming to great good. You likely have a few of their works at work on your computer. You may have heard whisperings of them playing as a typography-themed band, telling tales of leading & kerning in between songs. This month, if you should happen to be in Los Angeles, they are curating a gallery exhibition of Eames Century Modern work.

Opening Thursday March 11th (7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), the reception boasts members of the Eames family themselves and a “cornucopia of free-standing dimensional letterforms and hand-printed installations.”

Charles & Ray Eames are one of America’s most interesting and admirable couples. Wildly prolific and unrestrained, they left their distinct design on furniture, architecture, graphic design, film, even toys and musical instruments. You’ve seen their movies in school, and coveted their chairs. (Charles was another guy often seen sporting a bow tie.)

We’re pretty excited about this event.

Elin Jönsson works outfits together and takes photos of them. She does it because its so fun to do, always has been. Her blog, Elinkan (now part of several that comprise, Radar Magazine), is an amazing example of doing something for the sake of loving it, and finding the result is valuable and a joy to others.

Elin recently took some stunners in our Shuffleboard dress. We were thrilled to see she appreciates a good animal mask as much as we do. More here. Thank you Elin!

Late last night (after the super bowl hot dogs had been consumed), your names were scientifically cut out of a spreadsheet and thoroughly mixed into a hat.
